An old Helle knife

I just bought an old Helle knife. The knife is in really nice shape and I really like how it looks. However, I don't know anything about the knife. HELLE ELK is written on the sheat and the blade says 18/8 + high carbon edge, A/S Helle Fabrikker Norway. I would really appreciate any info about the knife.

Might mean a laminated blade?

Laminated blade, high carbon core of something like 12c27 with 18/8 (also known as 304 or 300 series stainless) cladding. Sheath is probably pewter. Not a puukko either. I believe its a traditional type of dress knife known as a bunadskniv.
