This is back when Imperial made a real good knife. Stamp dates it to mid 1930's. It was pretty ragged when I got it. A buddy of mine gave this and a schrade whittler to me for helping him out around the place, just doing small odd jobs here and there. Someone tried to replace the pivot pin, racked the face handle in the process, but all in all it cleaned up fairly well, and boy does it take an edge! I love those long pull spear point blades. Overall, the handle was cracked in about 4 places, needed a new pivot pin, had to true the tang up and had to fit a new spring (the old one was shot) from an imperial camp knife. Real thin and carries well.

Thanks, I plan to leave the handles as is, the blade isn't used alot, and was sharpened properly. An old knife that has some history. I think it used to be a two blade and at one time or another the other someone took the secondary blade out and maybe cracked the handle in the process, who knows?

u are right, still a super knife to have!! i wish some of the older, used knives could talk. i bet they would tell of opening christmas gifts, cutting a plug of tobacco, and many other tales and traditions people of our generation never got to experience. i seen a documentary awhile back, they were discussing the h.l. hunley, a confederate sub they had in charleston. during excavation, they found a old pocketknife. i would love to check it out!! anyway, u have a great knife there, and if it gets to heavy in our pocket, send it to me, i will tote it for ya!!!
