You've seen his pix on the forum before -- in uniform at ceremonies when he was promoted to Inspector. After 26.5 years in the Singapore Gorkha Police Contingency Inspector Min Bahadur Paija retired last month. Anybody looking for a good security man?

The gal is his wife, Shiva Kumari.

They came over for drinks and dinner and a lot of BSing. They leave for the Baltimore area today to visit friends & relatives from Myagdi.

Min's 44 -- joined when he was a kid and worked his way up thru the ranks. Big guy for a Nepali -- almost my size.

Uncle, you describe this fellow as "old, retired," and then present a pic of a youngster! He's 6 yrs younger than me! OHHHHHH...I feel three more hairs turning grey....

Will, I don't have a history but I think they've been on duty in Singapore for 50 years. Interesting note, however, his retirement pay is about 5 times more than if he'd spent his 26 years in British Army Service.

You're right, Mike. He's still a kid but considers himself "old, retired...."

What Will said......:)

Mike some races just don't show age as badly as others. I know some older ndns whose hair is still darker than mine and them with 10 - 15 years on me.
My hair still looks pretty dark when I get outta the shower, but it doesn't take long to turn the silver it's becoming when it starts drying.
At least it isn't turning that dingy grey/yellow color that so many yonegi's hair does when they start turning grey.;)
My folks used to call that color "dishwater blonde." :p

My Momma's hair was still pretty black when she walked west at the age of 71 years.

Yeah, I guess I should be grateful to have some hair, regardless of the color. I do have friends close to my age of other races (I am Scot/Irish/German) who don't show their grey/age nearly as much as me. Then, again, it could be some of that hard livin' I did as a youngster that is catching up with me.

Reminds me of some co-workers I had from Korea. For the longest time all of us on the crew thought they were about 18. Then one day we're comparing ages, and whoops they aint even close 18. One was 35 and the other was 28. But darnit, at 22 Im starting to get grey hairs in my moustache. My pop went grey in his 20s as well, and was almost completely grey in his 30s. Well at least he still has his hair. :)

Where's our experts on Sinapore Gorkha Police? We got off on gray hair instead and I've got more of that than I need or want.
