An oldie, but a GOODie... :)

Haven't posted any pics of this one, but got it off of Ray a while back. This was his user and I talked him in to selling it to me.

Specs to the best of my recollection....

1/4" O1 Steel, Differentially heated, 6" blade, Black Micarta handle.. w/a wicked sharp convex grind edge. Hard to get a great pic of the hardening line. Also a great heavy duty black leather sheath.

Here's some pics:

That's a good looking knife. When was it made (approx.)?

I have my third knife from Ray on its way - they're all much smaller than that.

Not sure when this one was made... I've had it nearly a year, but Ray had it as a user before I bought it off him. He sharpened it up and sent it to me. I just love this blade shape. It's a very useful and dependable design.

Hey Redsnake, that's a nice one. I think I made that one sometime in 2005 but I'm not sure. I've never made another one like it cause it was a lot of work! I'm glad you still have it. Thanks for posting.

I've been quite pleased w/this one.... one of my favorite customs. I think you did an etch on this one to bring out the hardening/hamon line. Looks really good and feels quite SOLID in the hand.

The quality of this one actually convinced me to buy one of your 'smaller' bowies. I nice 5.5" one.
