I've had this one since about 2002. It still rides in the pocket fairly often. Was out on a ranch tonight right around sunset and thought it'd make a good time for a photo...I like this little knife so much, I've been kicking around the idea of a Native 5 but I want the Domino too...decisions decisions...:)

Coincidentally, for another thread I dug out my old Spyderco Native II C42 from 2000. Made in Seki City, Japan with Stainless Steel handles and AUS-10 blade steel.

I still have one of those 440V Native models myself and still use it on rough jobs. Mine is full Spyderedged and has been put through 2 jobs where I didn't think it would survive.

That second one is also one I used to own at one time. That stainless handled, AUS-10 version is truly one of the better ones as well.

I've always loved the Native and I'm probably going to end up getting a Native 5 before too long. As stocky and rugged as the Native model is made you can use it for extremely rough jobs. It's like a pitbull of a knife in many ways. I truly lament that you can't get one of the Golden Colorado USA Earth Natives in full Spyderedge anymore :( I just hope that someday Spyderco changes their mind and again offers up the Native and Military both in full SE.
