An older Sambar pic

I was prowling through the safe a while ago and remembered some conversation about coloration of Sambar Stag. Whether it yellowed with age or something to that effect.

Anyhow the top one is a 12/05 custom with BG42
Middle one goes back to 1989
Bottom one is the BCCI drop point 110 from 12/05

Of course these are unused so that might make a difference.
The 1989 Damascus has a slight more tint than the other two. Mostly on the back side. Not all that much difference in any of them.

Just being worthless today... :o

On Edit: The bottom one with the holes, is Elk Antler. Forgot to say that when I posted the pic. But probably obvious to you guys.

i of course especially like the damascus , so far i have only been able to snag up 2 110 damascus ,do you have any with other handle combo's ?
 
Thats the only Damascus I have. It came in a lot buy. Otherwise I am not particularly that fond of damascus. But everyone should have at least one :D
 
OMG!!!

You know I have a thing for stag handled Buck knives.....must ....stop....the fever from....I've....got to have.....a new one. If my wife see's your photos and the look in my eye; she will hit me with a frying pan....again. Thanks for posting your photo's. I used to get this feeling from girly mags....oh well, guess I'm getting old....priority's don't ya know;).

thats about how i feel about the brass bolsters , so if you change your mind and realize a person doesnt really need any (damascus) let me know :D ;)

Yeah Buckman, you will be 2nd on the list. Dave emailed me the day I got that small herd... :D I prefer NS also..
 
i was lucky enough some months ago to pick up the holy grail of 110's the 1996 collectors club 110 fg stag damascus with the inset medallion , , now i just need the matching 112 for that one

Here's a couple of photos of an older two dot 110 with stag. The top photo is the more accurate depiction of the coloration of the stag.

Man, do these pics make me feel like a fool. I have a cherry older production Sambar 110 here in the house somewhere. I got it out to show a friend and I'll be damned if I know where i put it now.
