I was very fortunate to be able to meet Art Washburn at dinner before the 2001 Blade Show and of course managed to talk him into making me a Dr. Knife. After sending him a few examples to study (Robeson, Winchester and Kabar) he called and asked if I would mind if he used a little artistic license.

The result was a handle made from Art's third billet of (don't tell Les :) ) mokeme and Devin Thomas stainless spirograph damascus.

She's a real beauty! Ya gotta love the spatula... never know when you may need to spatulate!
Sweet get... please keep sharing with us.
Thanks, Mongo

Gus, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the "walk & talk" is as good as any that you own. ;)

You bastid ! :D That is one awesome looker !

Now, send it to me for a closer examination. ;)

Gus:

That looks a wee bit more amazing than the yellow handled Case Doc knives we talked about!

Art, WOW! You da man!

I just came across this post.

A few weeks past I bought my first Dr. Knife...and now I have 5 of them. A few others ordered also...

BUT...

That item is just spectacular!

I'm considering having my own Dr. Knife "created" and the Damascus blades are a definite part of the plan.

Thanks for sharing.

Mike
