An unexpected haul

A chap I met at an antiques show a while back dropped by with these today. He's quite a "clean up and polish" kinda guy :( but a couple of these escaped the wheel. The swell center jack (coke bottle) is pretty exciting for me, it's an Edwards, a house brand for a large hardware supply in Montreal at the turn of the century.

Best regards

Robin
Left to right. Reico germany, green?bone, very full blades, nasty nick in the pen almost 4 inches, a tank.
Edwards coke bottle, ebony with character ;-)), pretty full blade, did not escape the buffer.
Robt. Klaas, nice redish bone.
Belknap bluegrass Barlow, saw cut bone, nice full blades
Turner Naylor, pretty horn scales, buffed and well used blades, with a terrible twist, a neat user.

What Jack says - the knives you got there are real treasures. :)

(I´m a sucker for old nicely worn out bone handles...)

Great score, Robin!

Real beauties, shame for that nick on pen blade, there is something in old knives, smoothed handles and worn blades that just feels right

Wonderful bunch, Robin. Some nice Canadian history in that Edwards!

I hope you hinted that Patina is good . . . . .;)

That's an all-around great day there. Great scores, love the coke bottle!

Hi folks. Thanks for all your comments. It's always a great day to look at and aquire knives. The chap I bought them from is a very nice man who takes my gentle guidance well.:o He brought his entire collection to show me and have me make comments, Yikes. It was rather painfull to see some of them. He has one of the prettiest folding dirks I have ever seen with Ivory scales that are just killer and the blade buffed beyond belief. Here is a pic of a Bowie made by Joseph Elliot with stag to die for in just the condition you want to find (the handle). You can see what he did to the blade.
Also added a pic of the knives with some oil and bone nourishment and a little toning to the blades. I took most of the nick out of the pen blade on the Reico (the best built knife of the 5).

Very best regards

Robin
