First, a big thank you to all of you out there praying for me; I appreciate it more than I can tell you. The current status is that I do have terminal pancreatic cancer that has spread to my liver and lymph system and is incurable by medical science. I am taking chemotherapy because the doctors feel they can slow it down and maybe give me as long as one year (that looks really good to me right now). I do well (except chemo days) for a few hours a day now that the doctors have my liver functioning again at about 1/2 capacity.

I am still trusting God, I know that He has a reason for this and a plan for it. Many wonderful things have come out of this situation so I am beginning to see, in my case, how "All things work together for good for those who love God..." Romans 8:28

I WILL be back on the Forums, ready to answer any questions about the old days and I DO plan on being at the Buck Collectors Club 15th Anniversary get together in El Cajon in July. In fact I am looking forward to that with great anticipation. I hope to see many of you there and I will have special presentations for Buck and for the club.

I still covet your prayer, it is a great comfort and, we do not know the mind of God, He may yet grant me a miracle.

Vern,

It ia a true testimony to your faith to see you in such a positive state of mind. Never let it be said that their is no power in prayer, or that there is no God! Even though they say there is no medical science at this time to help, miracles have been known to happen in less than a year.

I wish even more now that I would be able to make the trip to El Cajon this summer just to meet and talk to you in person. Unfortunately that's not going to happen so I'll just keep sending my good wishes through forums.

I will keep you and your family in my daily prayers. God Bless !!!

Vern,
You continue to be an inspiration to all of us!! As you are well aware, there are prayers going up for you from all over the country. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing you, Pam and Andy in El Cajon in July. We have some surprises planned also!!

Vern,

It is absolutely wonderful to see you posting on the forums again! Larry is right, you continue to be an inspiration to us all. May you have many more good days than bad! We continue to pray for you.

Vern,
I'm glad to see you back on the forums and in such a positive state of mind.
I really enjoy reading your post. I have gone through and read all your old post on BF.
I wish I could make it to the BCC get together and meet you face to face, but I won't make it this year.
Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to meet you :)

Vern,

I'm a 'newbie' to Buck Knives but just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers and I truly hope the good days outnumber the bad ones by a large margin! :)

Vern,

Here are the best wishes from the other part of the globe. There are a lot of knife fans and Buck knife owners in my country, and obviously this is the link that unites us from all over the world into a family. Wish you well.

P.
