Saw a post today that got me thinking, and I wanted someone to confirm it validity.
One of my straight BM's has a 2.5" - 3.0" false edge. Until today I didnt think anything about it, rather it was just one of the phases the BM series went through. However there was a post on knifeforums where a member stated that the BM's with the false edge were the first 300 that were ever released. Is this true? The one I have is extremely similiar to the one in the post's picture. It has the smooth gray/black micarta handle with flat slotted screw heads, smooth black finish, and of course the mysterious false edge.
If anyone can clear me up a little, it would be appreciated. It really doesn't matter than much seeing how I am NEVER selling any of my BM's, but would like to know the age of this knife for my own knowledge.
