Saw a post today that got me thinking, and I wanted someone to confirm it validity.

One of my straight BM's has a 2.5" - 3.0" false edge. Until today I didnt think anything about it, rather it was just one of the phases the BM series went through. However there was a post on knifeforums where a member stated that the BM's with the false edge were the first 300 that were ever released. Is this true? The one I have is extremely similiar to the one in the post's picture. It has the smooth gray/black micarta handle with flat slotted screw heads, smooth black finish, and of course the mysterious false edge.

If anyone can clear me up a little, it would be appreciated. It really doesn't matter than much seeing how I am NEVER selling any of my BM's, but would like to know the age of this knife for my own knowledge.

Dark,

What you have is a cheap knock off. I happen to collect cheap knock offs.

I will give you $50, and pay shipping. Send an e-mail if you accept.

Don't be too upset. We all buy stuff that turns out to be a fake.

Take it EZ,
Mike ;) ;)

A Knockoff? Thats what I thought too :) I would never ask you to help me out with such a piece of junk. I'll just give it to one of the homeless people downtown, I'm sure he/she will put it to good use :D Thanks for the offer though...

DN, I've got a Zero Tolerance BM I'll sell ya for aaaa...
$9000.00 bucks :) hahahahahahahah........

Hehehehehe

$9000.00? Thats all? !!! Wow I figured these were worth $15000.00 easy, I'll take it :D

It does sound like you have one from one of the early batches. These are rarely seen on the "For Sale" boards. . . nice find.

Keep your eye on Thatmguy. He convinced me (for a very short period of time) that Black Label wasn't really beer! Turns out he was simply stockpiling a warehouse of it for his own personal use. ;)

Sly dog. Next he'll be trying to convince me that smoking the glue they use to hold my Middleton Gold and Mild cigars together is bad for your health. . . . hmmmmm. . . . Does make you wonder how much of that plastic tip your supposed to smoke? ;)

Man, beat down for tryin.

Jerry, you'd be surprised how many cases it takes to fill up a 5000 gal. underground tank. Hardest part is waiting for the foam to go down.....

DM, yes, great score on the early BM. Jsut thought I'd toss a laugh out there.

Yours in Nuclear Scores,
Mike

p.s. You're not supposed to SMOKE the plastic, you put it between cheek and gum for that covert Black and Mild experience....
