I'm coming to Anchorage next week to see the doctor again, what are the possibilities of a get-together for Alaskan Hogs? I probably won't have my new SAR 4 yet, what with the way the mail system out here, but I do have plenty of other great new things I need to show off.

Rodger,

What days will you be in??? I'm headed back out to the plant on Wednesday the 15th.

I'm coming in Tuesday afternoon assuming the planes are flying okay. Tuesday evening works for me.

Mulder, I've got your phone # on my cell, you may want to edit your post to remove it from pubic view.

What about the cheese cake man? Up to my elbows in school work so will check back tomorrow or something

You Alaska guys really p!ss me off! You never post any pictures of salmon, bears or those cute little white seals that taste so good.

Get with it guys! You have a responsibility to post pictures of things that we cannot kill in the lower 48.

Anyway... I certainly hope there will be plenty of drinking and irresponsible behavior at your meeting...

This is for kdstrick!!!!;)

Back yard tender succulent Moose!!!:D

What are the chances that moose from 2006 made it out of your backyard alive and is still roaming around today? :D

Wow Tuesday night I'll have to miss, I hit the bed at 9-PM and I'm up at 3-AM Wed. I guess I'm out guys have fun.

Well, here's a couple of shots and their explanations. A couple are mine, a couple are from others.

I took this shot of a moose walking down Spenard Rd in Anchorage one February night at about 1:00 while I was on a late night Taco Bell run when I was in town.

This is Felix, a maintenance guy in our school holding one of the many salmon he caught. He gave me that one and I couldn't refuse his generous offer (even though I hate salmon - and yes, I'm serious.)

We had a "Cultural Activities Day" at the school, one of the aides brought in a seal and showed how to skin and butcher it.

My dad took this shot in the early 1960s while he was out caribou hunting. You can see less than half the herd on that hill, it extends way over the top. Some caribou herds are HUGE.

This moose was taken within a relatively short distance of Anchorage.

This bear is the stuff of internet legends. All kinds of stories have been posted about how it attacked and the guy was forced to kill it with a Cub Scout pocket knife and a blowgun he got from a box of Cracker Jacks. In truth, it was legally taken by a U.S Airman with a .338 Winchester Magnum (the same caliber I carry huting big game up here) while hunting on an Island in Prince William Sound.

Yes... a huge moose indeed. But who is the proctologist behind him? ... It is a bit too late for the postate exam methinks. Maybe he is taking the temperature of the recently departed :p... Inquiring minds want to know!

Seriously though... awesome pics guys! Thanks for sharing... keep em coming...

Moose piss me off. The bastards have killed just about every decent tree in my neighborhood. I consider them gigantic rats that are also tasty. I havent hunted moose in a while but I have a hunt coming this fall. Now its my turn.

Now I find out we have 9 Grizzly bears living within the Anchorage city limits. We had 3 bear attacks in Anchorage last year alone. They used to shoot them when they tried to setup housekeeping in town. Now the treehugging assclowns just say "they were here first".

And these treehuggers no doubt live in white suburbia outside a metro area in the lower 48 and have nothing to do but meddle in the affairs of some far off distant land they only see in pictures.

"Remember, for just a small monthly fee, you can sponsor your very own polar bear (insert cute cuddly photo here) and gurantee their continued existence until Armegeddon or until our accounts dwindle"
