HI All -
I posted this little project in The Maintenance section but now that its done I thought I'd share it with y'all here. Months back a fellow forumite sent me very old Case Trapper that had replacement leather scales that were falling off on condition that I take it on as a project and fix it up for use. Well I finally did. I wanted to do an homage ot the inventive owner who had used the leather to rescale, so I used some think mint green rawhide I had laying around. I finished it with shellac and super glue and tried to do a subtle jigging pattern on the scales. While my jigging could certainly use some work (as could my camera quality) I think it came out nice and I intend to use this one quite a bit. I'll try to get some better shots of it soon (it actually looks much better in person.) Let me know your thoughts.
