Here's a maker from Toronto who does a beautiful job with polished titanium: Darren Roy Chard. This is his (now mine) "Ranger".

Blade is ATS-34 stainless; bolsters are highly polished titanium; liners are blue anodized titanium; scales are African blackwood. Very elegant. And the action? S-M-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-T-H!

And of course I had to feed my addiction to Weston knives. Here's another smoothie!

Bud calls it "Mosquito". Premium stabilized burl scales; cobalt alloy blade(same as talonite), convex ground; fileworked liners; frame lock.

As with any Weston knife: elegant design, smooth action, superb craftsmanship.

That Mosquito looks great. The figuring in the burl is wonderful and I find the overall shape very appealing. What exactly is the blade material? I don't think there is anything else that is the same as Talonite. Is it another of the Stellite family?

I'll try to get more info on the blade material. (I just wrote down what Bud Weston gave me with the knife)
