Hello folks,
Let me describe the problem: I have a SIFU in D-2, very happy with it, it is a great knife.
But I have a problem with it...and Since I am European, that isn't as easy to settle as in America.
I noticed that one screw, the one missing in the pic, Came loose.. I tightened it, but not real tight, as I didn't wanna waste the wire. I first turned it out too see what the problem was. The first round of the wire was already stripped. Not really a problem, as the screw stayed in it it's place. I was gonna contact REKAT for it, but the page seemed down. So I tought hell.. It'll stay and when it comes loose again I'll locktite it.
But it wasn't my luck. When cutting paper and cardboard to suitable sizes for recycling, I noticed the screw was gone! And you can guess.. nowhere to be found around.
After being panicy and very pissed for an hour, I typed this.
Here's the pic: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=488545&a=11322146&p=47663881&Sequence=0&res=high
Is there anyone out there who can send me one tiny screw in an enveloppe? Or how to contact REKAT? But it would be quit stupid sending the whole SIFU across the ocean twice, paying customs and taxes and shipping again for a small screw.
Did anyone ever wondered about a full stainless back for a sifu? I am a knifemaker myself (hobby really) and I think I might do that when I feel like customizing the SIFU, but for now It's fine the way it is if it had the screw.
Greetz, bart.
