My grandfather died last night. 87, WW2 Army Air Corps. Never said a word about the war, but raised five good kids. Last I checked, that's more than enough.

Prayers, smoke, they're all welcome, but what's best is to simply let those you care about know it.

My sincerest condolences... Though I did not know the man, he has my greatest respect and deepest gratitude for his service. One of "THE Greatest Generation".

God bless him, his, you and yours.
 
Always sad to hear when another of that great generation has passed.

I thank him for his service to our Country.

I grieve your loss but keep his memory alive. My hallway is lined with photos of passed family veterans & I see them several times a day.
