A blizzard came in, early for this time of the year. So I put together some............I'll call them ''quick shots'' to use if in a rush or it's just too freakin cold to manipulate small objects. An exception will be made of course if I have to urinate.

Basicly these are shaved loads of Fatwood with magnesium shavings mixed all through them. Should have some pretty good hidey-ho when it catches.

Good idea, I did similar one year and added some small bits of rubber inner tube as well for a longer burn.
 
This is an awesome idea! Where did you get that little orange container? Is it waterproof?.... looks like an O-ring there.
 
I use the metal key chain pill holders from Walgreens for the same set up put with cotton balls and shaved mag bar. Works great

Thanks for the reminder. I have seen many references to buring rubber, but never tired it. Something to remember in a pinch also eh.

They are little match safes I believe. Cost maybe a buck and they are in most sporting goods stores around here.

I saw those at Wally world a few weeks ago and the exact same thought crossed my mind. :thumbup:
