I just received my 3rd sebenza today, a small starbenza. It is a pretty sweet piece. The milled pattern is not as deep as the photos on Wilson's website, they add a subtle pattern that sets the knife apart from my plain seb. They also give the knfie a little more grip that doesn't cut into the hand. I'm pretty indifferent to the double thumbstud, I might actually prefer if it was a right hand only, but they look nice. I was afraid that the all silver hardware would be too plain, but with the milled scales they create a toned down elegance. I will probably try to mirror polish all the screw heads at some point. The jimping on the blade is sharper than the plain seb, and there aren't as many ridges. They provide a very solid engagement. The lock-up is just as crazy solid as my other two seb's, there's really nothing else like it. My only concern is that the blade is slightly off-center and rides very very close to the non-lock scale. I can barely fit a sheet of printer paper between the blade and the scale. There's no rubbing, but it's surprising to me. I'm not sure if I should contact Wilson and request a replacement. Or maybe I'm being too OCD.

Here's some quick pics.

I have that knife's bigger brother, and it is one of my favorite knives! The small starbenza is on my short list for up coming buys. Nice start to your collection!
In regards to the centering, have you taken it apart? I put one of my smalls together in a hurry a little while back and ended up with an off center blade. You might try to take it apart and lube it up, hopefully that wil fix the blade.

Im thinking about getting a small Starbenza if you not want it ill take it off your hands for the right price a little off center i can live with!!! The Centering on it looks pretty good to me, it might just be your OCD kicking in.

Great choice, I've always wanted a Starbenza. I wouldn't worry about it being slightly off center, my 21 is a hair off center but it doesn't rub, and it has yet to give me any trouble.

I love the StarBenza only thing better would be............. wait for it.............ah forget it you already know what I am going to say.

Starbenza's are one of my favorites I had a large with satin handles. It was gorgeous. Great knives. Oh yeah we all have OCD. When it comes to CRK's ;)

I like my small Starbenza. I anodized the scales blue, but might reblast the handles and leave the grooves blue...if its not to tedious.

I swapped the screws/barrels around a few times, and found a setup that centered the blade better. It's not perfect (nothing is), but it is now within my comfort range, so it doesn't dominate my thoughts when I look at the knife. I've noticed recently, especially with these high cost knives, that one minor gripe that actually sort of bugs me will make me super critical of everything else on the knife. But once that single issue is resolved to my satisfaction, all the other little criticisms fade away. I am too OCD about these things.

I can't stop loving on my CRKs now. When I get home from work, I take the one that I carried all day and unpack the other two and spend at least 20 minutes playing with them while I watch tv. Then I come online and look at Mnandi's... Although I'm starting to want a large CRK too, maybe a 25. Must... stop... spending... need to save for later in life.
