Yep, a sickle. A customer of mine told me he wanted a cross between an oriental Kama and the Grim Reaper...here's what I came up with...and have been so busy with lately. The double edged blade is approx. 22" from tip to fork and is pattern welded 5160/1018/nickle as is the 5" bottom "spike" blade (the sickle blade was HT'ed from me by Jerry Rados). The shaft is 3' of Ebony with stabilized Buffalo horn caps and Red Jasper spacers. The shaft had nickle pins to match the domed "head" pin. Tess did some very nice turk's head knots and a weave handle wrap...but, she refused to make a sheath.
This is just the right height for Danny this Halloween, I wonder if we have a black robe around here somewhere?
