I think Nick posted some pictures of this one before.....but in light of recent threads I thought it might be amusing to show it again, now that Coop has done his magic :D

Perfect ladder pattern, just over 7" blade, just over 12" overall. As with most of Nick's fighters - much lighter than you would think !

Clip is Sharp !

Handle is black Mulga, an acacia from desert areas of Australia - related to Koa, but denser. In person, looks like a cross between Koa and DI

Sheath is also from Nick, with a nice woodgrain Damascus stud.

That's a very fine piece, Bill! The damascus pattern is so Nick Wheeler...precise!

Damn I love Nick's knives and his sheaths are right up there with Mr. Long's

Way to go Nick! Beautiful job as always Coop.

That's awesome and real nice steel on that bad boy. As nick does so often that handle shape looks perfect.

Nick Wheeler is abundantly talented, but is in equal parts so dedicated.
He is one of the top five of my most admired contemporary makers.
Plus, he is dreamy.

Congrats on a great Fighter and an equally nice sheath !
That's a winner, Bill and Nick.

Hi Bill!

Congrats on a great piece! I got one in Koa and all damascus (in my sig is a tiny picture) earlier this year and also love it. Like you said, it is almost unreal how lightweight and well balanced Nick's fighters are (not to mention the flawless fit and finish...).

Hope you'll enjoy this one for a long time!

Best regards,
Alex

"Dreamy" ? Well, I won't go quite that far, but truly a talented man and willing to share so much with the knife community.

As always, a great looking package.

I showed your pictures to my wife and gave her a not so subtle hint that I want one.

Beautiful knife and talented maker. Thank you for sharing.

Great score Bill and great pics from Coop as usual. Super package from Nick, transition from guard to handle is just brilliant. Best in the business in my book.

Thank you for the very kind words guys--- they're very much appreciated!

Bill- Thanks again for your continued support my friend! I get to do what I love because of that. And thank you so much for getting it photographed by our photo wizard Coop! :D

Also want to thank Salem Straub for sharing the idea for a leather tooling stamp he came up with. After seeing Salem's thread, I made a stamp like his and used it for the main pattern on this sheath (the black area). Thanks Salem! :)
