Well it all started with the Vapor, progressed to the Skyline (love that little knife), and now I eagerly await a mini Cyclone. I suspect it is all downhill from here.

Anyone care to share their experiences with the mini Cyclone to help me get through the wait?:p

Fantastic knife! The full belly is great, and the handle comfortable. You won't be dissapointed!

And it is all downhill from here!

:D

It's a little on the heavier side. That being said, it feels rock solid like a tank. I love the shape of the blade.

Hope this doesn't give you a boner

Thanks for posting the pics, nice and clear so good chubby material there :p
I like the handle and blade shape. Would prefer that it was a bit lighter but I think the ability to disable the assisted opening and additional strength will make up for it. Besides, I have a Boker Trance with a similar blade shape if I need something light duty.

I have all the Cyclones (reg and mini) ....
this was the Kershaw that started it all for me.
The best one is the Ti-Framelock in ZDP189, it is
half the weight of the others. My only disappintment
with it was the lack of hollow grind on the blade.
Thats when I moved over to the Blur. Not a better
all around knife has been made in my opinion.
Also Love the speed-safe, but had problems with
the on/off switch.

Great knife; you'll love it. I disabled the on/off switch 'cause it was malfunctioning.

Thanks for the info guys. What was the nature of the switch failure? This was a big selling point for me since I am not a huge fan of assisted knives and figured it would be a good way to check it out.

One of my favorite Kershaws!

It's a very comfortable knife to use, the blade shape is great, and it's built like a tank.

The Cyclone is on my list for the next Kershaw, it really sucks they want to discontinue it..

But you' re right, it all gows downhill from there:D

Great picture Brutus! I am really looking forward to getting the knife.
At least it is in the mail now. Hoping I will have it in time to test it out on the kid's presents and all the cardboard that goes with them.

Miro, I am surprised to hear they plan on getting rid of this model. Seems to be a very useful blade shape/size. Where in Germany are you?

Yeah, it really is too bad. I' m in Trier, right next to the border to Luxembourg, I only just noticed your German name, from where are you?

My father is an American, my mother is from Düsseldorf, so I was born speaking English and German.
So most of my family is in the USA, the rest is in Düsseldorf.
I have heard of DEUTZ, but I really don' t know much about it. I will take a look into it, though, thanks!

This certainly explains your excellent English. Should you ever visit the states and find yourself near Georgia drop me a line (guru1atcharterdotnet).

Take care.
