A bit different from Terry's this CactusRose Frontier Bowie is 1840's style:
Overall: 17 7/8"
Blade: 11 7/8" - Hand Forged 5160 with file work, age etched forge finish
Grip: 6" crwon stag with buffalo rawhide wrap. Deco is copper, brass, and glass trade beads.
The Northern Plains style beaded sheath is buffalo rawhide and smoke tan buckskin over cowhide. The belt loop is covered with rattle snake skin. The deco is glass, copper, and brass trade beads, tin cone tinklers and horse hair.
Thanks for looking - this one is due to go to the Chicago show in September - engraver and friend Tim Adlam will be displaying it.
