Thanks for the input gents. The SteelHeart seems like the best choice. One of you recommended the Basic7 and it would be perfect (esp $$$ wise)
, but I think I could really make use of the exposed tang on the combat models ( fish scantuary/no hunting signs are always being ripped down, and I can pull the nails out with my pliers and hammer them up until next time )So the steel heart is it except I want the BattleMistress !!!!. I put on my gerber bowie and walked around the house and the block ( my wife just shakes her head) The Gerber is only abuot 1/2" shorter and I can wear it comfotably (I'm a tad over 6')
I may regret it for some finer chores but my Buck110 is always around.
Now the big question
Where is the place to get one - is the busse shop or sharper instinct. What is the waiting period if any? Payment - if there is a wait to you only give a deposit or have to pay up front ( i saw this on the forum can't findit again). In Canada $$$ its around 600$ +shipping, if there is a paymnt plan over 2 or 3 months that would be good until the knife arrived
Anyway thanks all, and when I get the BM I'll be able to sign off in a nuclear fashion
