After much thought I went with the Bk11! It arrived this morning, minus the micarta scales which evidently ship a lot slower. Boy am I excited to get this thing wrapped up and on my belt for this weekend. Unfortunately I only had time to take a quick peek and then run out the door to work :( luckily it is Friday though! :D

It is a beauty! That was the knife I had my heart set on before I discovered the BK-16. I still eye that 11 from time to time though...

A wise decision indeed!
Congrats! You'll love the micarta too.

Ahhhh, that new steel smell.....excellent choice as well. Consider neck carry....that way the 15 or the 2 can ride on your belt and the 11 will be that much closer to the beers that it will be opening for you.

No one says you can't have both...not on this sub-forum, anyways. The 11 is the kinda knife that can always go with you.

Nice score.

Now I need to determine if I want to get another BK14, or if I should get the BK11.

I started to put my Bk11 through its paces today. At one point I had to break down a king size bed box frame to fit on an overly stuffed trailer to the dump. It cut through the fabric easily and even pried some nailed down boards apart. The thing I found most interesting though was the bottle opener which is also a wire breaker. That sucker really did break some wire with ease on the box spring. I would definitely suggest picking one up.

Also, even with the micarta scales, it conceals very nicely in a pocket.
