I just ordered the Armorers Tool. I'm not sure which makes me more certifiable....the $550.00 knife, or the $75.00 tool.

You are nowhere near "mad". Seen any of my posts in here? Got my first Hinderer less than a year ago, now well...I have "some" Hinderer stuff in my possession.:D
Problem is there is a deep void that can only be filled by more, so if you are deemed "mad", I must be a lost cause.

+1 on stock? If ordering the tool is descending into the madness it's all I can do to not buy the ti scales for a knife I am waiting for to arrive!

Congrats! and welcome to the addiction John:thumbup: (just tell Mom, worst things could have happened:))

I went through all the dealers and alas, all out of stock at the moment......

Will these be available at the blade show?

You think it's madness while I think you are the luckiest guy on earth! A folder at that price and a tool. You are one lucky guy!

My wife is constantly telling me I should play the lottery. Example: I collect Rolex watches as well, and the stainless Daytona is the hardest to get model Rolex makes. For years, most dealers were lucky to get one...maybe two a year. Consequently, the secondary market prices for a stainless Daytona have historically been quite escalated. Some Rolex enthusiasts never get the opportunity to buy a Daytona at MSRP. To date, I've bought six NIB Daytonas at MSRP. :D

So yeah, I guess the dice tend to roll my way more often than not.

Stop rubbing in your Daytona collection. I know all too well how difficult they are to acquire. A true winner in wrist instrumentation. The white face on some makes it über cool.
Agreed, you are one of the lucky.

Ahhh...OK. I guess I shouldn't post this then:

The white dial Daytona is my preference too:

John-
Judging by the even distribution of hair on your left arm ( exhibit 1 post #16) I feel you have not been completely indoctrinated into the world of Hinderer because you are obviously NOT going up to friends and family (the "Wife") and doing what comes natural after the sickness takes complete hold of you.....

"Honey LOOK at how sharp this thing is!", and then you commence shaving the left arm eventually hunting for available patches of re-growth in order to illustrate to the uninitiated.
Get to work!

Maybe I should rent myself out to the forum for knife testing purposes? Purely in the name of science of course. "Hey John! Get your furry self over here...let's see how I did with my new WEPS!"

Post pics of "Rollies" as much as you like, you should take a interest in the (Hinderer and Watches) thread and dedicate a page or two just to your collection. Would not mind seeing whatever you decide to share. And viweing the same knife in each pic wouldn't hurt feelings either.

The white dial is the model I plan to own someday soon. One of the nicest Rolex watches I have seen. I really like that it is not ornate or flashy. I am turned off by watches that are braggadocious by nature.

The Dayton is one of those wrist instruments that shows a "you get it" vibe. One of the watches that when one notices it on anothers writs, a meeting of the eyes and a nod assures both parties that they "get it".
Very similar to when you see someone else with an XM in hand or pocket. You immediately understand that person "gets it".
