Welcome back David!

Tell us about your hunting trip (and post pictures too please). Did you get the chance to use any of your Bucks?

Nope, I didn't get a shot on this trip. Slipping in on 12 Turkey's was a thrill and one non-legal buck came within bow range. I'll try again in Dec. or Jan..Thanks, guys. DM

I'm sorry to hear that, but as long as you had a good time (you did, didn't you?) it was worthwhile.

Thats called hunting! Its just as fun now even if i don't get something, but i did use my buck vanguard and d2 118 i got from POSTFALLSIDAHO on a decent whitetail Nov 2nd.They worked excellent.I give up on trying to post pics here,i'll email the pic to somebody they can try though.

Check your messages Razor.

At least you have more time David!! Congrats Razor, how did the D2 work for you?

I haven't had a chance to fill my tags yet either. The deer are around, but I am always in the wrong spot... :D

Jim,the d2 118 worked super, thanks again. It doesn't need a touch up yet,and as i hoped it works super on removing backstraps!.I still have a doe tag i'm trying to fill with my bow,DM,those turkeys must be somethin' else to hunt eh?We don't have any here, but it looks fun.

RazorB......be patient.

With global warming those darn turkeys have been moving farther and farther north and they're pushing the Canadian border in some places!!

Be patient.

:D

Thats a nice buck Razor! The deer in TX. are dispersed from the draught. Some hard times for deer in place there. I had a super time with my hunting buddies. A memoriable trip. DM

Oh yes David, the memories is what its all about, the times i went hunting and come home skunked made me apprechiate it all the more when i did get something!I am 265 lbs and my dog Chase, well he is 94 lbs,he is a helluva best friend,he is 14 years old(human years)and you see him, still rippin' around like a pup,and he has a bad heart,I love him he is truly a best friend.I remember one season most of us stayed in camp having the odd "snort" I think i sharpened everyones knives that time, and converted half the guys to the Buck cult.lol..David best of luck the rest of the season!

Nice buck Razor, lots of Turkeys down here in N.M.Did you hunt close to Junction Tx. David?

Hopefully Dec or Jan will work out better David. Thats a nice buck Razor, big body on that guy! I went on my annual camp with my brother and some friends. It's still archery season here and the rut is comin' on. The next two days I will hunt my favorite local spot. Had a great time with a good group of guys. I think I killed my smallest deer to date and took a good ribbing at camp...no it's not a dog...

Used my buck saw to clear a shooting lane and clear some limbs so I could use my climbing treestand.

Used my JAG 110 to field dress and some of the butchering. Shot the deer with a 125 gr. Muzzy at 23 yds slightly quartered away.
