For those of you into things like a total eclipse, 2012 will be the year you should plan your visit to Oz. One of the best places to view the 2012 November eclipse will be in far north Queensland. Cairns or Port Douglas are a couple of nice tourist areas if that's your thing and the eclipse will be happening right over them.

2500 k's in OZ is considered walking distance, from what I gather.

Looks like we're only going to get a partial eclipse around here.

You could probably swim over to Norfolk Island from the northern tip of your place. You'd get a pretty good view from there.

Why can't I just ride a boat to Norfolk mate? :)
