Just added two more Beckers to the collection:

I wanted a camp knife primarily for kitchen and cooking use. I couldn't decide on the BK-5 and the BK-15. Mrs. weaponeer said "get both!" That was all the encouragement I needed. We'll see which one she prefers, the other goes to the survival/outdoor gear pile.

So these two new ones get added to the existing family. I'm beginning to feel like I have most of the bases covered:

I haven't done any knife stuff in awhile. I got distracted last fall when I read a book about building AR platform rifles and the bug bit me hard. I spent most of the winter building several (5!) new rifles. Then I got the hots for a short barrel rifle in 300 Blackout with a suppressor, and that got me into the NFA weapons game, which takes a lot of time and money! I spent most of the summer waiting for the stamps to finish this 9" barrel SBR (with the BK-6 for Becker content):

The short barrel version joins its slightly longer range version, also in 300 BLK, and can also accept the same suppressor:

They all started as parts, like this:

Anyway, just wanted to share the two new Beckers and show off what I have been doing the last year or so. Mrs. weaponeer is very understanding, she knows my hobbies keep me out of the bars at night! :) I have to do something in retirement. Right now I am going out to start the fire in the smoker and smoke up some sausage and ribs. I think I'll use the BK-5 to split a little kindling! :D

That is a nice bunch of goodies you got there! More than a little jealous of those setups! Looking forward to more pics! (Even better, show us those sausages and ribs when you get em done!)

Loving the SBR. I have an AR I built from a stripped lower as well that I'd love to SBR, I just don't want to pay the $200 and wait hahaha. I love messing with my guns too.

Nice knives you added there.

The wait now is supposedly running 15 months from sending in the papers to approval. I sent in the forms for the SBR and suppressor in early January, and got the approvals this month. Another suppressor I just bought last month for my .45 they say I may get the stamp by next Christmas! :(

See that's the garbage that stops me. I cannot imagine that wait period and having to pay a stupid tax....and I love my guns. I just hate the idea of it all. Oh well, you want fun toys you have to do it. I'll end up getting a supressor soon I'm sure. I've shot supressed rifles and pistols and loved it. I can definitely see the value of it indoors as well. I bet those ARs will make you deaf if you ever have to fire one in a confined area unsupressed hahaha.

Nice new steel, you'll love the 5, it is rapidly becoming one of my favourite knives.

Fantastic! BTW, you and I set up our ARs pretty similar. Here's a shot of mine in the config I've been running for a while:

Nice! I wish I had the (intestinal fortitude) to paint one of my rifles. Some of those camo jobs come out so cool. But I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't have enough faith in my artistic skills!

Just do it weaponeer. You won't regret it. Heck you can always just paint over it again if you don't like it!

Lovely 5! Mine is out in the shop awaiting a modification...

I'm about to start a new AR-15 build. My DDM4 needs company... I'd love to pick your brain about a few things, such as triggers...

I've done a few rattle can camo jobs that I felt turned out quite well. It's in some ways a lot easier than you'd think. Both of these were done using natural vegetation for stencils.

Sounds like Mrs Weaponeer is very understanding. My wife is always pestering me to sell off some of my collection (generally the stuff that I've made that she doesn't like the designs of as much). It's pretty rare for her to say "get both." The meat looks great too!
