We don't see enough of Ander's work here, so I thought I would share one. Anders and I trade photos of our recent works with each other and this is his latest.

Here's what he had to say; Boarding Cutlass - East China Sea style. Broad 17 1/2" blade w. very exciting and active hamon. sterling fittings. S-guard is blackened bronze. Handle is brown/blue walrus ( what else!) Comes on a maple and walrus display stand. What do ya think?

Oh, my GOD!
Every time I see one of Anders' works I am amazed. He is better at this than almost everyone else. Almost. IMO of course!

You know how some makers work just resonates with some people? I have seen it with people and Daniel Winkler's knives and Jerry Hossom ,well Anders amazing and so unique style is a bit skandi a bit japanese but all original.

Great to see his work especially new stuff I have never seen before.

One day i will own one of his big knives and hopefully be buried with it.

Outstanding piece. Really like the
hamon...and the ivory...!!!

Man, me too, Russ! 17 1/2-inches...that's a lot of 'exciting and active' hamon, folks! Anders work always amazes me. I make it a point to visit Anders and admire his work at Blade. Sorry I missed him this year, but appreciate you posting this, Don. One could sure fight his way out of a bar with this one! :D

a little friendly knife fighting?

Beautiful overall and great hamon, but I must say the walrus and fittings really set this blade off. The owner is quite lucky with a W blade like that.

Here's a few more. I tryed to buy the piece of ivory on the big one at Blade but Anders wouldn't sell, not sure why ;)

From Anders;

"Had to show you this bowie Don, remember the handle from Blade this year? I think you do :)

A couple of freshly squeezed dags. as well. The Ceremonial is a new design direction I'm beginning to like.....

I've finished these for the Paris show, so they won't hit my website yet.

That's it for now, thanks for viewing guys.

Anders"

Here is another look at that last knife with a little editing done to get the colours closer to what I think they should be. Anders has named it: Big Hog Bowie.

Once again, I will say that along with Don Hanson III, Anders uses the nicest walrus ivory I have seen on knife handles.
