Some folks here are aware - and some are not - that Andersen Forge has moved.
This has been a project that's been years in the making.
I have vacated Illinois and now have what household items I hold dear and all of my shop located on the Swan River in far northern Minnesota.
I am remote.
20 miles to a loaf of bread.
Moving a knife shop is something I do NOT!!! want to do again anytime soon.
The last knife made at Andersen Forge in Illinois was shipped to the Netherlands.
About 50% of my shop equipment is still in crates.
I still don't have all my wiring in place at all, but I did get my surface grinder, belt grinder and both mills set yesterday.
Not sure what my first knife made at Andersen Forge in Minnesota will be.
But some of my movies will have a new back ground!
See ya'll again, soon.
Yeah, you betcha.

Great to hear your move is complete even if the unpacking isn't Karl. You are going to love that part of the world. Congratulations on your new home and shop.

A major move......and then some.....Hats Off.

Hopefully your travels and move were uneventful even though tedious and tiring. I hear ya on the move thing, a huge endeavor on your part but isn't it nice to be in a 'free state' where you can carry a firearm and keep those terrible 'assault rifles' in your home? ;)

Congrats and look forward to your first knife out of your new shop... :)

Good for you Karl, I know you've been wanting to get back up there for a while now. I applaude you for making the move, the wife and I were debating relocating just 4 miles away, but after the consideration of moving of all the crap we've accumulated in 38 yrs. we decided it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Can I come go walleye fishing?

Bill

Help me to understand this. At some point, you relocated from sunny South Florida to Illinois and that wasn't quite cold enough for you, so you have now relocated to the middle of nowhere north of the taiga/tundra line of demarcation where trees are nowhere to be seen and there is no sun five months out of the year? Ummmm...........please to go pee pee in the little plastic cup and return it to the nice man at the window. ;)

BEST of luck in your new home Karl. That must have been an enormous amount of work in many ways. Hope to see you back in operation soon.

Peter

Bill, just boated my biggest small mouth this morning - somewhere between 6 and 7 pounds.
You don't need an invitation.

Good to go Karl. Lets see some pics. I wondered why you were not at the ABS hammer in in Troy. Are you going to be over at the Ohio Classic?
