Andersen Forge Hunter.
I forged this from a bar of Rados W2 and 203E Twist Damascus. After full completion, I hot-blued the blade to bring out the Damascus pattern and to protect the blade.
I also Hot-blued the mild steel Take-down fittings and take-down wrench.
The fully contoured Desert Ironwood handle was done completely by hand with files and such. The palm swell hits me "Smack" in the pocket of my hand and just wants to be held!
Balances directly at the forefinger.

Hi "Master of the take down handles", :D

another very well made knife by Anderson forge!

The blued damascus and fittings as well as the knife shape are more than appealing. Especially the contoured handle at this one looks really comfortable to me!

Karl,

The knife looks great!! Love the handle and that it is a takedown.

I'm honored, Bailey. Thank you very much.
I guess I should divulge a secret!
You were my instructor at the ABS school in Washington - you make take-down knives.
Jerry Rados is my friend/neighbor/tutor - he makes take-down knives.
The method I use was perfected by Jim Siska and handed down to me. Jim is one of my "Idols". He makes take-down knives.
So I look at it this way, if three of the most respected names in the Industry make take-down knives, there's a reason for it.
I discovered that reason.
I can't imagine making a knife anymore that does not have take-down capabilities.
My customers won't have it any other way and I have you guys to thank for that inspiration.
My hat is off to you.
