André De Villiers Operator

I picked up this André De Villiers Operator in a trade. I will be looking to add other knives from this South African maker. The blade is two-tone, matte on the plane parallel to the handle and highly polished on the others. The blade is flat on the opposite side. I think this is called a chisel grind?

Are the liners purple?

Yes, the liners are a purpleish-blue. They seem to change color as the light strikes them. They can be quite blue or, as in the picture, quite purple. It seems the camera really liked that color . The clip (on the reverse side) is also purple.
