I met a pair of knifemakers at Blade show a couple years ago, they were setup across the isle from us, and during one of the lulls in the action I struck up a conversation with André van Heerden and his buddy André Thorburn. We talked all weekend about knives, and the IKBS. Well, this past Blade I was presented with some very nice IKBS prototypes...So I placed an open order with them, and a month or so later started to receive some very fun packages in the mail from South Africa!

Fit and finish is amazing, and that’s not just my opinion.

Add to that, Andre and Andre are both really nice guys to deal with!

I expect to see a LOT more goodies from these two from South Africa.

I'm impressed with their work, as you are. In fact, the South African makers, in general, impress the heck out of me. They hold to a nicely-high standard.

I don't own a knife by either of these two makers. Yet. But I do own knives by Bertie Reitveld, William Burger, Lourens Prinsloo, Thuens Prinsloo, Rob Brown, and the late Louis Van Der Walt :(.

Getting back to these, they are especially stylish with the lines. :thumbup:
