Me and two my two younger boys attended our first blade this weekend and WOW it was great. One of our best highlights was meeting Andy, Allen and Dylan. Got to spend a few minutes thanking Andy for producing such fine products. He was truly a very nice and humble individual. I told Andy that we spent two solid days walking and looking at knives, which the boys could each choose one of their choice (within reason).
My youngest chose a Spyderco PM2 with digital camo scales and my other son chose a Fiddleback Recluse rustic wrap. He kept going back to the FB table about every hour or so to see if it was still there while trying to decide.
After the haggling with Allen about throwing in a Bud Light for me, my son got it and then met and talked with Andy a bit about their choices, he even gave us a few passes to the KC show in September (awesome).
As we were walking away, Andy caught up to my youngest boy and said, "you should've bought a Fiddleback". It was funny as hell and he got a kick out of it.
Thank you again to that whole group for their contribution to an industry that we love. See you in September.
