JC in SC is about to get a present next week. I thought you might want to drool.... er check them out before he gets them!

Fiddleback Hunter with Full sheath, firesteel loop, and removable dangler in Chocolate Brown. Double stitched at the stress points - and CHUNKY. JC - you are going to have to break this badboy in. She wants to KEEP your knife! No big deal - just a secure hold and a good wet form.

I hope you like them.

I held this blade this week - and drooled myself. RAZOR blade and nice in the hand. JC is a lucky bastid!

For those interested. A sheath like this runs 50 shipped.

Nice!! Thats sweet. Thats a Hunter though, not a Woodsman. Hunter #2, downstairs, is going to have curly Koa and Rosewood. That pretty almost black stuff I have. I'm going to do a run of Hunters. Looks like after Blade Show.

I got a sweet plank of super curly Bubinga in the other day too. I took a pic, but no time to post it today.

That looks awesome TF. I can't wait to get this sweet combo and test it out. Great work from both you and Andy.

I am blown away by both the Hunter and sheath. Great work guys..

Guess what I got in the mail today? Another hair popping blade from Andy and the tightest pair of leather pants I've seen:D

As always, Andy's craftsmanship is the stuff of legend. The Wenge looks incredible and the contours of the handle feel so perfect in the hand. And the blade, whew! Did I mention hair popping? It is also incredible how light it feels for the size of the blade. Tapering the tang obviously paid off here.

As for the sheath, TF wasn't kidding when he said that she wants to keep this blade. If you can't tell from the pics above, TF's wetform is incredible. The Hunter literally clicks into place as though this were a Kydex sheath. The edges have been burnished and treated so well that it almost looks like one continuous piece of leather. The chocolate is so deep and rich, it almost looks black.

I'll be completing a formal review on this package within the next week or so (unfortunately I've got class most of the day tomorrow). I have a piece of firesteel rod that I need to put a handle on to go with it. After that, I'm thinking of doing a split stick deadfall (based on TF's youtube tutorial) and a little fire to cook my fictitious game (i.e. no small mammals will be harmed, though there are a ton of squirrels in my yard). Thanks again to Andy and TF for such a sweet package. I believe Andy is planning a run of the Hunter, so I won't be the only lucky owner for much longer.

Sweet! I am glad you are happy with it. Let me know if you need any help with the split stick dead fall. A smaller knife will help you - a SAK with a saw will help a TON.

The rest that BEAST in your hands will handle - no problem. Wasn't that thing a damned razor? I seriously cut one piece of paper with it waiting for something to dry... started drooling and KNEW I had to send it out quick.. ME LIKEY!

TF

I'm definitely happy with it. I wasn't sure how I'd like the dangler, but I actually like it quite a bit. Your tutorial on the split stick seemed to be pretty comprehensive, so we'll see how it goes. I used to make figure 4 snares and such when I was in elementary school, so hopefully it will come somewhat naturally.

Yes, the Hunter is a freaking razor. As a matter of fact, my left arm doesn't have an abundance of hair remaining from me showing wifey how sharp it is. No thick edge here Andy:D

Hey, glad to see you're liking it. Post lots of pics. I have spaced out on sending you the wenge. Pm me your shipping addres, and I'll get it cut right now.

My wife thinks I'm crazy because I'll take it out of the sheath almost everytime I walk past it on the counter, shave a little more hair off my arm, smile and return it to the sheath:D

No problem on the wenge (PM sent).

Unfortunately, it was absolutely beautiful all day Saturday and I had class all day as well:mad: Then it was kind of nasty out yesterday and my family had a baby shower for my wife, so Sunday was a total bust too:( I have class again tonight, but I'm hoping to catch a few minutes in the yard after work. I have a few glamour shots in mind for when the sun decides to come out.

Thats how I am when I get a new knife. Thats why I send the wine cork.

Wenge went out today.

As they are finished, they are sold, right here in my section usually. I like the interest, you just need to watch here closely. I post WIP pics here all the time. Usually someone contacts me about the WIP's and the knife is sold that way.

:oDuh, why didn't I think of that. Of course, taking it in and out of the sheath is helping to work in the wet forming that TF put on her.

Dude - That is TOTALLY what I do. I started to get REALLY bald - so I just set it on scrap paper. I cut the hell out of that... smile, and back in the sheath it goes!

After Andy reminded me of the cork...err...custom display stand, I've had it sitting on the dining room table ever since.
