Just letting you know I sent the payment for the machetes yesterday (the sizes I want are in the description section). I'm just waiting on the price quote for shipping Guam. Once you send it, I'll paypal the funds to you.

I have emailed him but no reply. I thought this would be the best way to contact him, since he comes on here. Does anyone know a better way to contact him? I would really like to know if he got the funds or not and get the shipping quote so the machetes can be on their way to Guam.

I think Ken (Bamboo) is doing all of his shipping now. Try PMing him real quick.

Thanks for the advise! I just sent him a message. I hope this works. Man I have been trying to get this order for over a week already.

Don't worry, they will reply in a timely manner. Ken is a really nice guy (over the email at least :) ). I guess that this is one of the reasons they are seeking for a part time help.

How I see it is that they have to choose a priority and that is making knives. Shipping being an important part of it but with a disclaimer. As they say, packages are shipped on Thursdays, in case that there are too many or the time-frame is critical, they will postpone it for the next shipment.

Bottom line, tools are worth the wait!

I apologize for missing this. We're short staffed this week and I've dropped the ball. I have your order ready to ship, the label printed and the shipping to Guam was 31.35.

Thanks for replying. I just sent the funds for shipping via paypal. Can you let me know when it ships and also can you email me the tracking number? I'm hoping these get here before Christmas.

Andy has been a pleasure to work with. Some of my messages went unanswered, however, after reading some old threads I realized how busy he (they) are, and completely understand.

I'd rather him be in the shop anyway. :)

Enjoy those machetes. I *almost* grabbed one but went another way with a different model (from FF).

Just out of curiosity, do you use machete heavily there in Guam? What do you use them for? I've read numerous times that the handles can't be beat in terms of ergonomics.

I use machetes pretty much anytime I hike in the jungle. There are not too many species of hard wood here so a good machete will go a long way in the jungles here. They're also the best tool for opening coconuts to get to the juice. Just thought I'd try out a machete from Fiddleback.

Hi Reddirt, I just emailed you back before seeing Andy's response from yesterday. So... sounds like they are on their way. I apologize for the delay - all my fault - I've been travelling and Andy has been covering my duties in the shop this week, in addition to making beautiful knives.

Thanks again. Hope you like those machetes. Post up some photos of them in the field if you get a chance.

Ken

Hey I would love to see some photos of your neck of the woods too!
