Several weeks ago Andy and I were talking knives, bow hunting, and generally just BS'ing. At some point I told him of a Busse that I had wanted for a good long time, but had not found for sale.

This week, Andy calls. He found the piece I had been looking for...said, basically, "if you still want it, it's yours". Holy Sh*# yes I still want it!!!

Guys, Andy and I have never met, and have only talked briefly a few times. And he gets off the phone and starts shaking the earth for the blade I want??? In two decades of playing with custom knives this has never happened before.

Remember what Andy said about using the custom variants? Well, I will only add to that, *USE* Andy. Seriously, this guy busts his ass to get the customer what they want, and to make sure they are satisfied. What a great dude.

Thanks brother Prisco, I truly appreciate the effort.

Well sir, I have met Andy Prisco and he is the GREATEST. We are lucky to have him handling our orders for us. Yes, Andy does bust a gut to satisfy the customer.

Andy would go so far to have his dear sweet wife drive all the way from New Jersey to Misissippi to deliver my knife. By the way Andy, there was like this major snow storm. Darnest thing you ever seen. Folks are saying it won't thaw until way over into next spring, so she is kind of snowed in for awhile. Don't worry she has your credit card and we are going to take real good care of here.

OK, I have to jump in before this love fest gets out of hand. I took Andy to lunch yesterday after he was kind enough to stop by and see me (I think he gets cabin fever cooped up in his office all day!).

While I must echo everyone else's feelings on the level of customer service, knowledge and scary-fast response exhibited by the great businessman, I have to throw him under the bus for his lack of spatial orientation.

Leaving my favorite local haunt, following ONE Yeungling, Andy ran into some difficulties near the exit. Namely, the glass door to the restaurant needed to be OPENED before you could actually pass through. Technology marches on; new innovations abound. A door that must be opened before you can walk through it. Who'd a thunk it.

The real rub (other than Andy's face on the door) is that a) I know everyone in the bar, so I'm sure to get grief for the incident and my choice of friends, b) I'm on crutches (torn Achilles' tendon) and I made it out with no issues.

Andy Prisco = Great guy, clumsy lunch date.
 
D60...doors? With glass in 'em? That ya gotta open before leavin? Man, that must be some kinda out building.

Now maybe we know why Andy's beautiful wife turns down all his requests to take her out to a nice dinner, eh? haha

Seriously folks...despite my Gerald Ford imitation, it was a genuine pleasure to meet and spend time with Mike. I've mentioned that my enthusiasm for the product is why I enjoy this so much....I think I need to add that enjoying it with all of you is far better than enjoying it alone.

Variant HQ continues to be updated for the better each day, thanks to a dear friend, GRNamin...the look has just improved again as of this evening and my suspicion is that it will continue to improve as the Variants keep coming.
