Andy's First BLADE show

Damn I look young in those pics. That was 2009. Its really interesting the people you captured in those photos. In the first pic I'm talking to a young man I see almost every year at Blade Show. He was 16ish in that pic. He had caught a giant bass the day before in a drainage pond and was telling me the story. Michael Wiesner was the other person behind the table with me. Michael is a good friend.

In the second pic you can see Sara, Dylan's wife. But you can also see Josh Boley.

What a ride.

Andy? I captured those images from a post you made in the HI forum, as I recall. You had a ton of cheer-leaders in HI as you were starting out. I'm not sure who actually took the shots.

It pleases me to see your on-going growth and success.

You have a bunch of fans.

Those were the days. I had just been laid off and gone full time. The HI crew is where I learned to make my first knives.

Not quite his first Blade. He didn't have that table at his first or second Blade and Dylan didn't have knives yet. I met him on his second in 2010 and Dylan had a few like the DF. These are pics I took on June 3rd and 4th of 2011.

Mr. Griffith? glad I didn't claim credit. :)

Neat historical shots. I'm amazed you can find old cell photos. There are days when I can't even find the ones on the camera.
Nice work.

These aren't on my phone it doesn't have enough space for that. LOL, I don't even think I had a smart phone yet in 2011. These were taken with the Nikon D3000 I was using back then. Blade started out as a resource for my work for Tactical Knives and Tactical Weapons magazines back in 2009. These images are actually part of my Fiddleback Forge database of images I have taken over the years and use as references and in articles. It currently contains almost 6 thousand images in 272 folders, and I lost some from 2009 and 2010 when my computer died.
