Hi all,
I'm a Canadian custom knifemaker, and was approached by a collector here a few evenings ago for some advice and help on deaccessioning some pieces from his collection. He has no-one in his family that is interested, is getting a bit older, and wants things to go where they will be appreciated and valued.
The centerpiece of the collection is a boxed set of Angus Arbuckle fighters. Arbuckle was a fairly well known knifemaker in South Africa, active up to the early or mid '80s. Is there anyone here who could help value this set? I would also pass on offers to purchase if anyone is interested.
I'm not acting as a broker, I'm just trying to help this collector out (he doesn't seem to be at all active on Social Media). I know he'd appreciate any assistance finding these knives a home where they'd be valued.

The knives are in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada.

ps to the moderators:
Sorry for posting a version of this from an inandequate membership level. I do actually know better than to post to a new platform without reading the rules. I hope this is ok in this forum, I didn't want to put it in the exchange, because I'd actually like to provoke any relevant discussion on Angus Arbuckle's work, not just post a for-sale sign.
