I don't know if this is the apropriate (sp) forum or not but I have about 1800 pounds of pharmacutical grade anhydrous borax that is graded as 20 micron in size. I have had excellent results with this stuff and have sent some of it to other makers to try. I have had only good reports on it. I would like to sell some of it to help cover the cost as I had to purchase such a large quantity. if any one is interested you can e-mail me or call my partner at 208-756-2923. thanks

I am one of the makers that tested this new borax. We used several pounds of it at Ed Schemps place last month. There were 32 makers and more damascus flowing than Ive ever dreamed of in one place. Bill brings out his new borax and everyone tried it out. This stuff is amazing! Iy is so fine that it gets into every nook and cranny thus coating everything. Because it is ground so fine it melts at a quicker heat and flows sooner. It doesnt pool up in the forge because there is no need to over dose the damascus with borax. Another thing Ive noticed is that it doesnt gum up the dies on my press. Thats a great bonus in itself. That should keep splattering to a minimum when using a hammer when welding and drawing also. The price is right too.

Also,

to anyone who is wondering I just finished a search and found that it is not a hazardous material so shipping should be no problem.

Thanks for posting Bruce.
