I found a posting for using animal bone for making handles in that archives dating back to 2001. Anybody have suggestions on using bone for custom handles? I have property where just about everytime I got for a hike, I run across a carcass and some appealing bones which could be used for handles or even a knive holder or display (elk vertebrea) Any suggestions on "stabilizing" or preserving them as well?
