Gday folks,
Here is a bowie ive just gladly finished. Some of you would be aware of an accident i had back in Dec last year when i twisted/broke both bones off my right ankle twisting a large billet of W’s. Well this was the billet i was twisting at the time. I ended up drawing the billet out and cutting into three, twisting and then stacking them back together.
Billet is 1075 & 15N20, scales are Mammoth ivory with fileworked nickel silver liners and n/s pins. I will be taking this one to the Rocky Mountain Show in Boise in Nov.

I've seen the ankle months after the accident and it was still swelled up. "Bowie of Pain" may be a good name for this one. Great work, very cool patterned steel.

It always stinks to get hurt. But, you'll remember that knife for a while. I think it turned out nicely by the way.

Thats a fine looking knife good to see your back at it. It is no fun being in a cast it sets you back big time.

Maybe you should twist your ankle like that everytime! :D

(kiddin, of course!)

The end result sure is sweet, that's for sure. :)

How about "Blood, Sweat & Tears" Bowie. Or maybe, The ankle biter Bowie.
I look forward to seeing this knife in Idaho.

Bruce, When I read the subject first thing that crossed my mind is you went and did it again. Glad to find out I was wrong. Nice looking pattern! How about "Twisted Sister" bowie. :D

Very nice Knife!! Awesome "Ankle" Damascus pattern.:D Sorry you got hurt in the Process;)

Thanks for the comments fella's. Hmmmm, Blood Sweat & Tears would be appropriate. After i had the plaster off, i found i couldnt put any weight on my foot and it was due to 2 DVT's (blood clots) in my calf. It took another 4 months just to get rid of them.
Cheers Bruce

first there was 'Turkish Twist Damascus', and now through the miracles of modern inconvenience, we bring you 'Ankle Twist Damascus'!
Who said there is nothing new under the sun?
