Anneal 416 pins

Hi. Does anyone have an easy way to anneal 3/32 416 rods? I'm having trouble hiding the blade pin on my slip joint folders. I DON'T have an oven. Annealing may make it easier to fill the hole. Any help in hiding this pin will be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Are they not already in the annealed condition ? You could do it with a propane torch by heating it hot for a while but below critical [subcritical anneal].
