Any guesses at the price? What about time frame? I would love to have this thing by end of March...probably wishful thinking.

been waiting for this one for sure, my guess is price will be similar to that of the NMFBM when it came out, CGs went for mid 400's if I remember correctly

Is there a difference between the handles on the BM CG vs FBM?
well the new one coming out with be a larger version of the SHBM (straight handled) not sure how they feel in hand as I have never had the pleasure of holding one

Neither have I, though the ASH-1 has a straight handle and it feels .... GOOD!

My question about the Anniversary Mistress -- Blade Length??? Another NMFSH or save up for the BM?

John

I have held straight handles before and they are very comfortable, they come in at second place after res c for me.

I would guess $347.00 to $397.00 at the most $427.00 as a special knife to the HOG's to celebrate 30 years

ASH1 is nothing like a SHBM in hand. SHSH2 is like a SHBM. Just FYI. Cheers!!

Only Jerry really knows what the price will be, but I can tell you the handle feels great to me.

Do those straight handles come with the pinky bite like some others do when chopping? To me that's a real bummer in the few knives I have. That's one reason I love Res-c

I feel that the hot spots from rubber handles are much worse than any pinky bite. I remember initially getting the pinky bite and with time that went away and the handle is very secure.

I've been hearing about pinky bite almost since the Red Scare but never experienced it. Which handle has this issue (for some) -- old school straight, ASH-1 straight, or Fusion? Inquiring minds ...

some have gotten it with the old straight handle line via the rear talon. It is all in how you hold a knife. Any knife can give hotspots. Heck, rough handle slabs can do it.

I can tell you that the concern of "pinky bite" was considered with new design. Should have no worries on that front.
