Just had to share this: yesterday was my 3rd wedding anniversary. Things are a little tight at the mo' – new baby, wife not working. We exchanged gifts. Mine was a small oblong box, with something heavy in it. Tear of paper and glimpse blue box and white butterfly! My angel had bought me a BM720. Gone to local gun shop, talked in length with guy about a good knife for a lefty. She really is the best!!!
She was them amused to watch me shave hair of arm to prove how excellent BMs are. Am really impressed with this knife - fits my hand so well, is sturdy, looks elegant , a solid axis lock and is the first knife I have had the really was shaving sharp out of the box. Thank you Dawn, I love you.
thanks for reading people. As I unwrapped it my wife was like 'now you can tell all the people on Bladeforums'

Congrats on the knife and the anniversary too! You will really like the 720. It's a great all-around folder. Sounds like you have a very special wife, as well.:) :)

Congratulations on your anniversary! What a great story!

It feels so good when someone gets you something to let you know that they listen to you and know what you like, no matter how quaint or extravagant it is. I know it sounds cheesy, but it shows they care...

So what did you get her? A sharpening stone :p ?

Zero

Edit: only in BFC or Texas is it considered normal to get a knife for an anniverary present!

to be honest, these are my favorite knife stories to hear. I read an article (I think by that Ed Fowler guy!) that talked about knife collecting. This guy who collected slipjoints (SUITCASES full!) had to hide his hobby from his wife, as the wife was furious about the idea. That your wife went to the store and talked abotu knives and got you a cool one AND told you to chat with us is AWESOME! My girlfriend got me a ka-bar short whiel vacationing in the US a year ago as an x-mas present, and it is the best piece in my collection because of that.
