Hogs of the Trough,

Any thoughts on how the AMS and BAD might compare? Different shapes but similar specs:

Blade length: 3.5" (both)
Overall length: 8.25" (AMS) 7.88" (BAD)
Blade thickness: .155" (AMS) .125" (BAD)

I love the feel of the BAD in hand but appreciate the extra half inch blade length on the Boss Street (4").

John

Perhaps the most significant difference is the RC hardness. The BAD is unique among modern Busse in being up at 60 - 62.

The BAD is why I wont be buying the AMS...

seems like the handle dominates the AMS smallish blade. Too bad it wasn't 4-4.5"... I'd be all over that. ;)

.

I love the AD in all it's thin iterations, and have long considered it to be the best Busse ever made. However, when I looked at the specs for the AMS my first thought was, "At last! A small thin Busse blade with an adequate handle!" This one is going to be a home run, and is going fishing with me, for sure.

Yes indeed. A lot of power can be generated with that long straight handle.

Its going to be 1/4" longer than a cultie:eek:

Here they are in order. Looking for comparison pic too

Bad 3.5" (.125") blade, 4.38" handle, 7.88" OAL
Cutie 3.5" (.125") blade, 4.5" handle, 8" OAL
AMS 3.5" (.155') blade, 4.75" handle, 8.25" Oal

This may be a dumb question, but does the 3.5" length for the MS and BAD refer to the actual cutting length or does that also include the choil?

Includes choil. Tip to front edge of handle slab:thumbup:
