Well, I have an SHBM addiction problem. I recognize it and can't do anything about it. This will not be good for my pocket book, even if I tell myself collectibility is no longer there.

While it does decrease the liquidity of older Busses I don't think the re-releases completely kill their value to serious collectors. There are always subtle or not so subtle differences. I'm excited to finally get a SHBM user that won't cost me over a grand to get.

I still have my one of those three and it will never leave me

Just remember, those three were made from original SHBM LE blanks that were stuffed in a box in the shop. Those are not new, they are the old stock. Hand ground, hence why they were thicker. If you look at the front portion near the tip, they are not flat ground, more convex, because of the hand grinding to make them originally.
