Announcing the 318-181 Gold Class Proper!

I vote for a black micarta or black g10.

My OCD won't let me buy red g10 or green micarta.

Go ahead benchmade... make my day.

Even the number spacing on your product announcement didn't know how to handle the magnitude of that price. Whatever program you used was like: "are you sure there's supposed to be this many zeros? ...ok then... I'll try."

Nice, but for a gentleman’s carry you could get a fully decked out damascus mnandi or small sebbie with all the trimmings for less money.

I gotta say, when I saw this on the KW site I just about had a freaking heart attack. What a beautiful Proper!

Then I saw the price and got very sad...I mean, dang, I want an Impinda too!

I just don't think I'll ever get to the point I'll shell out for one, but it is something I will think hard about.

I don't typically pay much attention to Gold Class as I'm probably never going to buy one; I'm not really a "collector" but I am curious aren't the GC of knives always this pricey?

That pricing is insane compared to picking up this for $750 (w/secondary market markup).

Come on guys... All of you that mention CRK seem to suggest that the F&F should be (at least) comparable to the impeccable knife you see before you. I mean for 3/4 the price, CRK should be able to come close to what BM can accomplish...

I would love to have had some more sincerity, but at $1k, I am not able to look at this and find I would prefer it over one or two custom slipjoints, or a dressed up Mnandi or other higher tiered gentleman's knife. At this price range, you have 90%+ of the custom exchange open to you, and if $1K is expendable, then a few more isn't much of a stretch. With that in mind, just about anything on the customs exchange is fair game.

This is some deep water being tread in, and I hope they have some (extra?) QC on these knives.
Just today I saw a proper sent in for centering and the note said they did their best, but couldn't fix it.

Yeah but I don't think this is a piece meant for carrying. Def a collectors piece, only 150 made and $850 on bladehq

They're not always this expensive, but the limited gold class are. They do a yearly gold class where they produce that knife all year long and those aren't this expensive, but on the limited runs they can be. This being a 150 piece run is why.

This exactly. These are smaller run gold class knives. Much more hand finishing. Beautiful knives!
