Busse Company Store
The new 2004 Busse Combat line brought with it the
introduction of numerous custom options. Our original plan
was to only offer 2 models per month. After that month is
up neither of the two models would be offered again for
nearly 1 year. This ordering protocol would allow us to
keep up with the demand and to offer a high number of custom
options. This concept would fuse high tech production
protocols with old school craftsmanship and personalized
attention. The idea looked great on paper and looked
extremely promising until we noted a couple of pitfalls to
this new way of offering our blades. The primary problem
with only offering any given model for a 4 week period
throughout an entire year was highlighted by a large number
of emails that we received from our customers. Many folks
noted that this would cause a great deal of inconvenience
for them as they might not be able to afford every knife
that they would want to purchase at the particular time that
it would be offered.
Discussions of these potential pitfalls have led us to the
formation of the Busse Combat Company Store. The Company
Store will order and stock a small number of each model
during the specified ordering period. These will be
delivered to the Company Store at the same time as all other
shipments and then be available for purchase over the course
of the next 11 months.
Our goal is one production batch and one shipment period (5
days) per model. This manufacturing and delivery protocol
will allow us to manage the large number of custom options
while maintaining an accurate delivery schedule.
Other offerings from the company store will include
clothing, hats, patches, shot glasses, etc . . . Scott and
Vicki Lind have agreed to manage and operate the company
store and all purchases and correspondence will be directed
