I'd consider this knife, love my Shanola Valet. However I'm having blade coating issues with 535GRY-1. Is it the same coating used on this high end Valet?

I see the coating is the same as the 535GRY-1, but it is coating the scales too. No way on a $400 knife, it would look like crud in a day.

being it's a limited run I don't see it being more than a safe queen for most ppl so the coating shouldn't be an issue but I've never owned anything with the chromium nitride.
