Spent some time at the cabin with Mrs. Knifeguy this weekend. Great trip.
On Friday evening we were setting up a portable grill. The little tabs on the legs were bent the wrong way and needed a little prying.I was well armed with a Leatherman Wave a Vic Executive and a custom folder but Ann pulled out her little Vic Classic and said "I got it." After we got the grill set up the pre packaged charcoal needed some air holes put in it to help it burn. Once again she whipped out the Classic. She is so proud of her little knife, and tells me so all the time. Says she doesn't know how she got along without it.
She usually carries it on her keyring but left her keys at home and just brought her knife.
I think I might just try Jack knifes experiment and see what I can do with my Classic!

My girlfriend loves her vic alox classic sd in pink. Any chance she gets she uses it! I paid nearly 30$ at a knife store for that little knife, but it sees a lot of use and shes proud to pull it out, i normally get a "No, i'll do it!" from her if i pull out a larger knife lol.

There's a reason it's called a "classic". There are times I go out with just one knife, and my Classic is it.

Be careful, you may be very surprised.

We just got back from a family reunion trip in the Blue Ridge mountains, and I saw several family members using thier classics I gave out at Christmas to the non knife carrying family some seasons back.

pa knifeguy, where in PA? I'm in York, but we went to the PA grand canyon this past weekend for a camping trip. Great weather.

You might be surprised. I made a point of using only a classic when I needed something cut. That experiment lasted a month; it took about two weeks just how much it can do with no worry.

Monowar, we live in Bloomsburg but the cabin is on the mountain above Elimsport.
Nice country in the Pa Grand Canyon area too.

always got my autumn orange classic alox in my wallet since its pretty thin enough... have been very2 useful in time of needs... its worth it weight in gold...

we live in Bloomsburg...

I'm less than an hour from Bloomsburg. Bought a NIB Vic SAK (Sorry not a Classic, but I'm on the look out) at a community yard sale this morning for $1.00. I'll be back there tomorrow as long as the weather is mostly dry. :)

Cheers.

Good job Chapman. Any time you can score a Vic for a $1.00 its a good day.
I love to checkout yard sales but my luck with knives is kinda sketchy. My personal best was a Bantam for $5.00 at an antigue store. Was new but a drop of oil got it in shape for a user.
